Federal 36gr hp 525 value pack junk can ef right off

That stuff shoots great in my lever and bolt actions, so good in fact, that I bought a half dozen cases ( read 5250 x6). The kids and the girlfreind burned up 3 cases in one summer. i'm thinking about ordering more.

isn't it funny how most .22 ammo on the market shoots really well when you don't own a 10/22?

I used to love the fed bonus packs and they would shoot in anything ,Now they they wont shoot in anything I got . 555's/333's are my goto

My 10/22 loves Remington Yellow Jackets ($$$). My Savage MKII loves the Dynapoints.

Both despise the Federal bluebox, but at ~$30/box, I shed no tears.

I still have lots of different ammo to try through the gun, but it's going to be hard to beat the ones listed above.

Wow was I ever annoyed yesterday. My 10/22 just loves American eagle 40gr solids 1.5-2" moa at 100y is the norm... No shattin. But yesterday I was forced to buy that federal 36gr hp junk. Hits were all over the place. 10shot group was 6" ish at 50 yards. Couldn't belive it. I had to walk away and let my buddies gf burn them up. They might work in someone elses gun but just discusting in mine

I don't get it? If I had a gun that ran fantastic on one kind of ammo I'd go out and buy a case or 2 of it, isn't that what most folks do? FS

Think of it this way, for just a few bucks you made another shooter happy, and you learned that your rifle doesn't like that ammo, double win!!

Was out for gophers with a buddy last year and neither 10/22 would consistently feed Yellowjackets. They seem to work well in a MarkII though. Super X round nose & hollow points are inconsistent loads with a number of fizzers in every box. Never a problem with anything else.

With the exception of dud rounds (averaging 1/box) the Federals and Winchester "bulk Wally ammo" both do fine up to 50 mtrs for my toys. My Buck Mark URX, Ruger Mk. III Hunter and Henry Lever H001 just eat them up. Had to break in both pistols but after the first couple of hundred rounds they now cycle consistently. The Henry has been bang on from the first day using bulk ammo. Grouping on the above three has never been an issue.
