My cheque showed up today. Its for $40 and it does not indicate on it that its in US dollars. It does note its drawn from a US bank in Minnesota though. Curious how the deposits have gone for others who already received theirs? I'd definitely not put it in at a bank machine, it will be a teller in person for me due to the USD thing.

Yes, it depends on your bank and account type. I know one time I was charged a fee for depositing a US dollar check into my account. Now I usually take my US checks to the teller just so there is no confusion.

They charge a percentage for converting the funds if you do not have a usd account. Just cash it

I have added a US account now so it will end up in there with the rest of my US cash!

A fellow at the bank walked me through how to deposit a USD cheque in the ATM, it even told you the exchange rate it was offering and that you could accept that rate or cancel the deposit if the rate was not to your liking. My $40USD was just over $50 CDN with their exchange rate.
