Federal American Eagle 9mm

I'm amazed you can feel the difference. I shoot mostly AE 147 gr through my sig p226. But 115 gr is often easier to find, so I shoot that on occasion too. I really can't feel the difference.

I shoot mostly 9mm as well and when I think about shooting either 115gr or 147gr, I feel like I can't really tell a difference. I usually have a bunch of one or the other but recently I came across a bit of each so I loaded a mag alternating 115 and 147 and this allowed me to feel a difference. It was a very small difference but it was definitely noticeable. If I shot 115 one day then the next day shot 147, I feel like I would describe them as the same but the 1-1 comparison helped me. Pointless but neat little experiment lol

That's what the box says. I think is something like 100fps less. If somebody is really curious I could look. But I'm too lazy to get off the couch and look in the safe right now.

I don't have the exact numbers but assuming standard factory loads, 115 and 124 grains should be around 1200fps with 147 being closer to 1000fps. Note: speed of sound is somewhere in the low 1100s which makes 147s subsonic.

I've loaded the same mag with both, going back and forth. I still can't tell the difference. I'll just take that as evidence that I need to shoot more. :)
