Field painted C7/C8s

After a couple years looks like it went thru a war zone...Honestly can be brand new and makes it look like ####, worn out..

7 months in Astan my new issued C7A2 was Grey and had no finish left.

Paint it and then just use it. Will end up like that in matter of months. Built it in 2005, Seen many hands and that was the last time I seen it, TV Press Pass had it in 2013. Still looking like as he called it, Gun Fighter AR.

Instead of using the palm sander, try doing a "dry brushing" technique that scale modellers use.

Hah! I was just going to go dig up the photos of that beauty! Some days I miss that gun.

OP, you can`t always get the same heavy use you`d like to see. But it will come over time. Shoot a few carbine courses to speed up the process ;)

Alot of the wear just from rubbing against your gear. Yeah I miss it, only because cannot get some of the parts anymore. Hard to find a AK74 brake, or the YHM 1 PC flip up gas block. Plus only was 1 magpul thing on it was the grip. Everybody goes full rails, mid length too modern.

Behold, the world famous (if a few square blocks in Surrey counts as the world) KUM-PAT, I had guys asking to pay me for my paint jobs…DS Tactical paint applied with a beer in one hand while walking to the BBQ to flip a few burgers.
