FightLite MXR Carbine

This project is a long way out right now. I see no reason why we can not offer both a non restricted version with an 18.6 inch barrel, ideally with a "matching" hand guard, and a short barreled restricted version as well. Cost will be the determining factor, along with demand. The concept uses mag well adapters so different standard pistol mags can be used. When the project is closer to completion I will keep you updated.

Long way off in Canadian terms means much longer than a year. Think I'll have to look elsewhere

Just needs FRT.

This has removable mag wells to switch between types.

Would be cool if you looked into this for the mean time.

I'm still interested in a non restricted PCC. Will be waiting to see what comes of this one... hopefully it comes with an option to use sig 320 mags, otherwise maybe I'll have to buy a Glock to go with it as well ;)

I’m still interested in one of these. Any news? I’m thinking about buying a Glock to mount a red dot sight on or having my 320 milled. News about this project might sway me to go with the Glock...

I've checked most of the SHOT 2018 reports, and see nothing about this PPC. Wolverine~was this discussed in one of your many meetings @ SHOT? Update? Mostly curious if FightLite is even interested in doing a Canadian-market-specific model, as discussed. (FL barrel, FL handguard...looking for NR status)

Please update us on this, even if the answer is "no". If it's moving forward, then based on your experience...how long before it could be submitted to the overlords for classification?

I am sad to report that FightLite have shelved their plans to develop MXR at this time.

The Freedom Ordnance FX-9 is already with the RCMP SFSS and we expect to hear results by the end of March. This March:)

The "MXR"...unless there is a typo. That's too bad, it is (was) THE first PPC I've ever seriously considered, even had some $ squirreled away for it.

I am sad to report that FightLite have shelved their plans to develop FXR at this time.

Thanks, is there an “official” thread for the FX-9?

A year later and they were pushing it at shot show 2019, so any updates on your end?
They're saying the upper is the registered part. I don't know if that makes a difference for us.

How about one in5.7x28
They mentioned 5.7, so I hope so.

The front end where the barrel comes out of the handguard reminds me of a m3 sub-gun for some reason... I like the looks better than the FX9

Wow! If either the MPX or the CZ had mag compatibility with a pistol I own, I'd already have bought one. As it is, I'm just barely resisting... I don't 'need' one of these at all, but if they come in sub $1000 I'll buy one for sure. You pull this off, I'll put down cash on the pre-order for sure...

Hmm... Is it going to use a standard AR-15 trigger group? Furniture looks standard...

I see the display model still has the 'Party' setting.
