Picked out a tikka t3 lite in 30-06. Found it on cabelas web site. Have not shot it yet, but hope to soon.

Threw a 3-9 x 40 bushnell elite on it with weaver rings and bases.

I hope you will be happy with your rifle - I am a fan of the T3 and trust that the accuracy will be top notch.

you will be happy. my latest is a ss 338 with 2x8 minox. also have 7mm and 300wsm in lamainate. i have owned i think 8 and all but one in 338 fed have been very acurate with little load development.

Put 30 rounds down the tube last night. was using the 180gr remington corelockts. The limbsaver recoil pad is amazing.

I have a T3 lite stainless in 270 win with an elite 3200 3x9x40 on it and I love it. You could get away with a lower quality gun if you just want to thumping around the bush, but to walk it and shoot it long distances it really shines. The only issue I had with it is that it really knocks hard on my boney shoulder. I'm 6ft 2 and 210 lbs so it's not the recoil itself that bothers me it's the hard recoil pad. I think that i too will need a limbsaver.

I know it has been said of many guns, but I will say it about tikkas. Dollar for dollar the best gun an average joe can buy to go hunting. After reading all the reviews on Cabelas an WWS it's hard not to buy one.

Have fun with it. George

I like my t3 lite in 204, great to carry on a walk after yotes and great on gophers. Get used to the great unwashed masses calling it a Plastikka. They know not what they miss.:D

One thing about the syn stocks. They are stiff and shoot well, but they aren't pretty. Not ugly either. Do the wood stocks shoot as well. A friend is looking to buy one with a wood stock and I keep toting about how accurate they are. I just hope the wood stocks shoot well also.

I could have gone for another savage but I wanted something new and have wanted a tikka for awhile now.

I grin after each range session. I find it tough to hold steady when shooting freehand. It's that light!

I do not regret my purchase at all.

Joined the t3 club recently as well, after a lifetime of struggling with bad triggers and rifles that needed to be forced to shoot well, I am absolutely in love.

I have nicknamed her the 'whore' cause she will perform for absolutley anybody that gives her the nod.

In an odd twist of fate the t3 has rekindled my interest in exploring new calibres. I see a whole brothel of the wanton fins in my future.

I have one in 338 fed and it also will only shoot 1.25" groups at best.

To be fair though I have only tried half a dozen load combinations.
Other than that I do enjoy the rifle.

I have a T3 varmint in 223 and I love it. Helped a buddy sight in his t3 lite in 300 wsm a while back and the thing kicked so hard I was done after about 10 rounds. They are truly LIGHT! Won't find a smoother action on anything else.
