Question about the tapco mags; when empty do they still lock the action open so as to allow loading with stripper clips still?

They sure do.

X2 they work like OEM...
You can't go wrong with a Tapco mag in a SKS.

I like with with both mags but I would like to find a 5/10 rounds mag...

That promag is about a 5/10

You have to order it... Took about 2 weeks if I remember well...
I was hesitating between the brown laminate and grey laminate...

Finally, i'm almost done with this project...
-1955/56 Tula all match #
-Timbersmith Monte-Carlo stock with custom slot for the bayonet
-Techsight TS200
-Tapco front post
-Bolt buffer from Techsight
-5 rounds Promag mag
-5/20 rounds Tapco mag
-Wolf spring kit ( 2 )
-Polished upper bolt + bayonet
-Tapco extended mag release

Now I need to sight this thing and shoot different kind of ammo.
The middle sight is still there, I will try to align the 3 sights...

Techsights is a gr8 upgrate but I was impress by how much the wolf spring kit reduce the trigger pull weight... I dry fired it with snaps-caps...
