After a some delays by Canada Post (they thought I moved, but I haven't moved in like 9 years), I received this 7.5 pdw from TSE. Thanks to Brian K and Justin, and to that sweet voice at the shipping department. Oh yeah, thanks to NEA for finally getting one out to me.

I just had the chance to open the box yesterday, and fit in the gucci gear that I had kicking around. I haven't had the chance to shoot it, since I've been nursing back to health from some tropical disease I caught in west africa, not to mention my two week old preemee infant daughter who came out almost as soon as I made it to the hospital to see her.

In anycase, I can't say too much about it, in all honesty, because it's an AR. I have used several, and own a few, and well, it's an AR. It's not a magic wand that will make supersized holes in the A box, but I think it's a well built AR for the price point. All of the key features that NEA has listed for their rifles, I am sure, do contribute to the long lasting effectiveness and life of the rifle, but I will still maintain the normal maintenance schedules...

My wife did say she was disappointed it doesn't smell like gun oil yet. So I had to detailed stripped her down, and lubed her up - the gun I mean. then reassembled. When mounting and tighteninng that rail thingy, I was advised by the TSE gunsmith to just attach something that straddles both the upper and the railed handguard. that way, as I tighten each side equally, there won't be any shifting of the rail piece. Function tests just fine. I kinda like that click into the auto mode. =)

I've only really had a cutdown AK as a PDW, and they were just shoestring two-point slings. so I'm not sure whether I will use a twopoint like I have attached now, or a single point. I guess it doesnt matter for another 6 months, because it'll just be a range gun until I go back to work, then i"l just take the upper with me =) =).

yes, range report. as soon as I can get out of some of the responsibilities i have going on first.

Nice looking AR but I'm thinking that muzzle brake may need to be changed....

I'd leave it - if you're taking the upper to work, it may give you a big advantage; you shoot once, hit the target, and take out 2 extra guys - one gets fried by the flash and the other collapses from the damage done by the sound wave and muzzle blast :D

I'll need to shoot it first, see if I still have any friends afterwards. What I want is a battlecomp.

Very nice looking piece. Congratz

I'm sorry but I have ot ask, whats with the pair of cissors in the LBE? You expecting paper zombies?
shears are useful for tactical haircuts in the field.
I have them, because I was issued them and the first aid kit for work overseas. I never needed to use them, so they came back with me =). yay for free kit.

hey nza....what kind of carrier and load out gear do you have in that picture?

its a reaaaaaaaallly old ciras issued by my client the state of arizona and federal bureau of indian affairs when I was helping hunt illegals using indian reservations as a thoroughfare. all those pouches are tact tailor triple and double mag pouches, 5.11 pistol mag pouches, an admin pouch, and a ifak pouch. thats it. 6 ar mags and 4 pistol mags. its total overkill for sitting in suburban driving around.

Peple don't use these one in all's anymore. You're better served getting a seperate soft armour/plate carrier system from oneshot - the BFG LMAC. As I have to head down to AZ again this spring, I will see if they will let me add it to the quote =)

In afrique francophone, we use what the local nationals use, so they don't get jealous...####ty level 4 one in alls...These stupid things.
