Finally shot my CZ! Observations from a n00b.

use the rear sight slide. you should get a 25 M zero when it's on "U" setting which i behind 1. I find that U is 25, 1 is 100 [meters] dont **** around with the front sight too much I'd say.

Thanks for your reply.

When I was out that day I brought the slide back as far as it would go to get it hitting the mark at 25yds. There's no more adjustment in the rear sight to bring the muzzle down. If I need to do anymore adjusting, I'll have to adjust the front post a little, but I"m happy with ther way it is. It's dead on at 25. The more I shoot it, the better I'll learn to compensate for different yardages. I absolutely love this rifle.

Nothing like the promise of free boners to sway the fence sitters.

I am consistently impressed at the lack of recoil and iron site accuracy of the CZ858. People that hate them for no good reason are missing out on a fantastic rifle.

lol check out my post in Antiques - I got flames for wanting/posting so much about the cz858...

apparently the people in that forum don't like 'scary' looking guns.

edit: i wish I had the extra money for the arma-coated version! post some HD pics I wana see it lol

I took mine out for the first time.
Used the 'U' rear sight settings.
Point of aim is center of the red square at 25m.
Group was OK. 2" or so. But it was shooting high...
Possibly going to bore sight and buy a sight tool. Good idea?

(Note, I shot the group above sitting and on a rest. Ignore the .22 holes with the X through them).
