Finds in the bush

I recently found the skull of a young bear that looked like it had been killed by being kicked in the head by a moose. This is actually not that uncommon, but finding the skull is.

Nugget found a wolf skull that looks to have been crushed by a grizz, going by the massive tooth holes in the head. There was an elk skeleton there as well, we suspect someone crashed a dinner party.

It's hard to remember all the stuff until someone mentions more here.:p

Steel box full of money (570 bucks) and uncashed cheques...apparently from a robbery ten years before. The remains of some person that went missing years before.

Nice find, it beats my alluminum arrow I found resting on some branches, 3 feet off the ground.

Stopped for lunch one day and were the first to notice a car at the bottom of the hill...I was fairly young, my dad went down and checked it out, came back up and we went straight into town to the cop shop.
Lots of shed antlers.
Lots of abandoned camps, but hardly any occupied ones.
Got lost out in the bush dirtbiking really disgracefully unprepared, and found a stocked camp that saved our asses.

Hey yeah! Christy found an arrow too....... buried into the backstrap of her Antelope.:( It was all rancid. Brother in law just found the same thing with his this year. Another buddy found a broad head buried in the shoulder of his cow elk, gristle grew around it as scar tissue.

Hannah found a lost arrow another time too, someone taking potshots at pikas. That kids has a good set of eyes for finding stuff.

One of those chairs/stools that people buy for hunting. It's a black folding chair that's about 20" high. Also a broken axe.

Found a complete set of field knives and a saw, in leather case....

various pots and pans here and there...

.... and I'm waiting for someone to post that they found my small Warne snatch-block which bounced out of my ATV last year .....

Found this in during last spring's turkey hunt:

I found a shopping bag with $60 and a receipt in it on a ATV trail. There was also a hand drawn map to a bear bait site. No way to contact the owner so finders keepers... :D

i havent found much at all. my dad found a unregistered 870 express a few years back. they guy must have been hunting where he wasent saposed to cuz he left in a hurry. not a thing wrong with it.

Antler sheds, a couple old cars that you would never have thought could have reached where they were. You know, the usual stuff.

A friend of mine has a 1886 Winchester that he found hanging on a branch on a tree where he was horse packing. Figured some dude had hung it there to have a whiz, and forgot it, as the stock had rotted off it. It loosened up enough to make a decent toy for his kid.

Another friend found a set of Swarovski (spelling?) binos on a quad trail.

I find peace and quiet, more than anything.

I found conclusive evidence of the answer to that age old question about what the bear does or does not do in the woods.

Ron

Was it stuck to the rabbits fur? :D

Cheers
