Based on a 1959 production 12 gauge.

Specs:
-18" cylinder bore bbl.
-factory "camo pattern" laminate stock, new from Ithaca Gun.
-sanitized Mossberg ghost ring sights (front is silver soldered on)
-Uncle Mike's left handed tactical sized safety
-single-point sling attachment (custom made by Gunco)
-bead blasted and parkerized.

Handles and points REALLY well :) I'm in lefty heaven!

That is one tacticle monte carlo butt stock you have there.....:)

Yeah, the MC version is current production Ithaca wood for the Deerslayer shotgun which mounts a low scope. I chose it b/c it was the only stock wood high enough to use ghost rings with a cheek (as opposed to chin) weld. It's actually very ergonomic in use as the comb is a tad higher.

I would have preferred the looks if the comb were straight, but function over form... :)

Actually, what I like the most about this shotty is its the first ALL STEEL short shotgun I have had, AND it weighs in slightly less than an 870 (somehow?).

What turns me off the 870 is that there are no trigger guards available in steel - only aluminum or plastic.

WOW! Pretty! I got my old mans ithaca 37 when he stopped hunting (Used every season for 15+ years and never got cleaned once! Poor thing.) I've been looking for a rear pistol gripped stock and an open choke barrel for deer-plugging with no luck. Keep getting told they stopped production of the 37 and most parts. Any pointers boss? I'm pretty new to this computer searching/buying thing. I'm not picky about plastic, aluminum, steel, color, blah. It could be neon pink for all I care, spray paint is cheap. As long as she works good, I dont care how she looks.
