Yeah Evergreen regulations they said. Which means they are going to keep updating their classifications as time goes on. More and more will be added to the list. They also never made mention of grandfathering which it appears they have no intention of doing. They also said that First Nations will be allowed to keep their weapons that are on the list, as they may require them for hunting. They said that First Nations should replace these "bad guns" over time with appropriate hunting rifles. I like how the government won't do anything to upset the natives, but the rest of us are screwed.

So to sum it up, ARs, xcr, vz58, mini 14, scorpions, 50cals, and 20mm grenade launchers bad, but under 20mm are ok?? Yup makes sense
HOPE is not a course of action...Grandfathering is not an option...cant use them now...this will not get better in 2 years..maybe DEWAT but not sure the point of that. Only hope is voting them out

just remember it is not me or you or any pro gun is the enemy here... it’s the government who just banned these firearms... we all should be together with this... by you asking me to leave is not a problem at all... Ill be happy to oblige... but these types of behaviour from gun owners sends the message that “we are not open to working with one another”. And therefore the government is now using this very same attitude we have towards us and not willing to work with gun owners

this is just a sample and proof of concept people. Please wake up. once they see how the system they are building works they will come after the rest. Say goodbye to the sks, tavor, type97, any semi auto will be banned like they did in NZ. You may get left with a .22 with a handful of rounds per mag. We need to start a campaign of information for gun owners to challenge this on an individual basis to flood the court system. Build legal funds to support court cases and open the eyes of the rest of the nation as to how big of a misuse of taxpayer funds this will be.

For those that are breathing a sigh of relief, you need to read the description of the order. It states:
"The Regulations have been amended to prescribe as prohibited approximately 1 500 models of firearms. Of those, nine principal models of assault-style firearms are prohibited as they (1) have semi-automatic action with sustained rapid-fire capability (tactical/military design with large magazine capacity), (2) are of modern design, and (3) are present in large volumes in the Canadian market."
You can deduce from this that all semi auto modern rifles are on the block sooner or later. Say goodbye to almost everything except a pump action, mag tube rifle, lever or bolt action. I bet bolt action magazine fed will be taken at some point too.
