come on guys, this guy has an opinion. he didn't like marstar's service. Maybe you guys have different experiences and you love marstar or any other dealer but he has the right to express himself. every time someone talks about dealer's customer service every single guy on CGN attack him. this is not normal you have the right to like or hate the service you received. I'm not bashing Marstar or any other dealer I had good experience with Marstar and other great dealers but when you pay money you expect a very good service and you have the right to give your feedback.

You are perfectly correct, Right to express your opinion is open to everybody ;)

So I guess your complaining worked! My order hasn't been shipped yet...
But I have to agree, 10 business days and counting does seem a little high considering everything should be in stock.
Can't complain though, the AK combo was a pretty sweet deal!

Order from Amazon, perhaps the world's largest retailer, and you'll likely have your stuff in your mailbox the next day. But perhaps Amazon's not as 'busy' as most of the gun retailers.

not that i'm particularly familiar with marstar's service but... how does a single small business (i'm going to assume most gun stores in canada are fairly small operations) compare to a major corporation with a large facility equipped with electronic inventory systems and automatic sorting machines with hundreds of these facilities across the country, each facility with a multitude of personnel staffed in such a way that they can run at full capacity even throughout the holidays, in fact specifically hiring additional staff as the holiday seasons are known to be the busiest?

seriously, ME ME ME ME ME. Consumers are so inconsiderate these days. the slightest hiccup and it's boycott this i'm never coming back that! talk about a drama queen.

I'm sure without this dealer forum no one would know of this situation, not even John Jones. I'm sure if John would be packing these orders there wouldn't be a problem, but like everything else you can't do it all. This forum is great for educating the retailer that times are changing, websites need to be updated, tracking information has to be available, it isn't about ME ME it's about my MONEY. these issues just open the industry to the big players that offer inventory, service and price. Big fan of John Jones and Marstar never ever had a bad experience, but all it takes is just one time.

This is why I deal with a select few venders on here. They should ship the next day if they have taken your money.

my jaw has hurt like hell for the past three days , is that a sign that im having a heart attack ? i thought i would come here to read and ''relax'' but its getting worse ...

You just can't come into a 15 page long Marstar thread with bolded font. How are people clicking through the BS supposed to find what John wrote?

What ever happened to the good ole days when we used to have to dutifully thumb through paper catalogues....WAIT for 6-8 WEEKS for your package to arrive…and you were GRATEFUL.

In the good old days you just went down to the Eaton's gun counter, picked out what you wanted and took your uncased rifle home on the bus and nobody batted an eyelid.

This was a wondrous time back when stupid wasn't the prevailing concept in firearms law: we need to get back to that.

I thank you for that inciteful concept to think about: I thought about it seriously for some time and the result was quite simple:

If you don't stand up for something, you fall for anything. - in bold font in honor of johnone

There you go. To the point.

All those members attacking the OP to defend the retailer in question...
You are not helping!

Nope. It was 6 business days for my order - 12 days total. Even the world's biggest retailer slows down over the holiday period.

I am conflicted with this article and most of the responses. I find a majority of the stores in Canada that serve the firearms community not accommodating and in more ways are taking advantage of the community. I can rarely find the firearms I am looking for or reloading components and most stores I call do not call back or take a long time to return to emails. It is truly one of the worse business setups I have seen in 14 years of business. If it was not for Gun Nutz I think the firearms community would be at a huge disadvantage.

So this thread was started obviously with the intent to reprimand Marstar; well it reminded me they sell very reasonably price Mec-Gear mags for my Beretta. Order placed! Thanks Marstar; the first 6 I bought are still going strong! this time I got the 96 mags so I can squeeze 12 9mm rounds in.

I am of opinion that OP has quite reasonable concerns.

Marstar is a business, not a charity, customers have expectations when they are paying for merchandise.

It is NOT being given away.

However, silence from Marstar is deafening...
