With respect to that growth;
A few years back there was a short article in the BC Outdoors magazine together with a photo taken of a moose (in BC) that was completely covering with somewhat similar growths. I recall in that article they went on to say that the growths were a from of "worts" and that the meat was considered to be perfectly fine for human consumption.
I would suggest checking it out with a biologist and a butcher for that matter.
Congratulations on one fine looking moose! I see that Ontario Hunters are still required to wear their rather bold camo pattern...LOL.
