First casted re-loads :) - Vid posted Page 3

You got to load 6 700 grainers to help reduce the recoil that pound of lead sure helps lol :) I wonder if you can gradually notice increased felt recoil as you get down to the last 1 or 2 shots...

LoL

The cylinder takes 5 rounds but - you might be right regarding the different recoil full cylinder vs 1 left

To put that in perspective... each of those bullets are 75 percent more heavy than a 12 guage 1 ounce slug...

I am pretty sure he is going t-rex hunting with these....

700grain at 1120fps from a revolver hand gun!! As scared as that makes me i'm just itching to try it......once.:)
Do you even aim or do you just squint your eyes, clench your jaw and squeeze?:p

Good stuff, looking forward to a video

I got some 240 Grain 44 magums loaded up hot under lil gun they have some decent kick... its what I use to teach noobs about the power of the 44 magum. Start them on 5 grains of bullseye and a 240 grain bullet super light load then put twenty something grains of little gun behind a 240 and they quickly dont want to shoot the 44 anymore.

I want to get a 460 S&W some day because belive it or not they use more powder in some loads then the 500 S&W. I dont know if you shoot these bad boys indoors but last time I did you could feel the pressure from the 460 8 stalls over.

Right on!

At least you are not one of the poser/poofter/wannabe's that go and buy a 500 Smith and then whinge about the recoil, or save the full house loads for "other people" to shoot.

Good on ya!

One of the guys I know has a 500 and has offered to let me shoot it. Gotta try it at least a couple times.

Cheers

I don't have any Lil"Gun - I should pick up a pound or two though. At 27grain and 1120fps it will last a long time. :D

My loads are more "pedestrian" 23grs of 4759 should be good for 950+fps.

I also have a .460 but haven't had a chance to mess with it yet.

You're right, but there are ways to 'tame' them,;) somewhat. I've made mention of it previously but even with the Hogue grips 'it' comes with, and using full house loads with bullets 350gr bullets and bigger, 'it' has the ability to inflict pain, at both ends:p. Where the 'pain' originates is in the hump area of the grip where the rubber is very thin. What I did, and it definately made a difference, is I modified a set of Jorden Trooper stocks by Herritt's I had for my model 29. Basically I guess it spreads the pain over a bigger area but it is easier to handle now:D.

A shooting buddy of mine bought one at a local gun show a few years ago and I got an invite to go out for a test shoot. He pinned up a target for me @ 25 yds and told me to take my time and shoot five from a bench using some 440grGC loads about 1000 f/sec. When he brought the target back, there was one ragged 1 1/4" hole. Initially, I had no intent of buying one but when I saw what it could do, I 'needed' one:D.

I am impressed! I fired one round out of a 500 S&W and that was enough for me. I don't think my wrist has forgiven me yet and that was two years ago.

Take Care

Bob

It will be interesting to see what comes next... the S&W 600 Magnum? When will it stop?
A guy I saw at the range had one of those 460's that was really a 4" but some how sneaked its way into canada due to some issue with the comp being part of the barrel etc. That's what I want since I will never be able to get a model 29 2" 44 magum...:D:eek:

Jezus. Total weight of my 9mm is under 200grains. No way that I want to shoot your beast more than once. Your video scares me. I'm going to get dis-located wrists. LOL! But impressive nonetheless!

I'm settling for S&W 629 early next year and cast 240gn bullets. That'll more than enough gun for me. :)

I'm new to powders but I hear H110 will get you tons of flames.

That is what I'm going to load my future 629 with. I have 1 lb ready to go.

BTW, it must be loud. Anyone shooting magnum in my indoor range makes whole place shake. My club doesn't let anyone shoot with ear plugs (must have ear muffs). I shoot with ear plugs and muffs. Much better. I don't go deaf whenever someone shoots magnum and shotguns. hehe

No eye protection? What value do put on your vision? Of course if that thing blew up in your face, safety glasses may not help anyway:)
