Well I had an awesome day today.

A couple weeks back a colleauge of mine gave me a brand new pair of Mk3 Combats that he found in his basement out of the blue...

Today a different person 200 km's away handed me a Free box of CND Forces 9mm

It's old but in mint shape no tarnish or anything, I'm wondering are these rounds going to be too hot to shoot in my Cz75b...

What are they?

They came in a cardboard box that said this:

A360
64 CARTRIDGES
9MM BALL CDN MK1
LOT-191-DAQ-65

Can anybody ID these?
 
" What are they " you just told us what they are:) CF Issued 9 mil, used in the C1 (L2a3) smg and the Browning HP, no problems in your CZ
 
Didn't they run a hotter round in the smg? I recall a notice of something along the line of 'not to be used in handguns' on the ammo box/label.
 
I have seen these rounds give a hard time to a Norinco 226, they seem to be a little too hot for the recoil spring. Actually it comes to mind that this ammunition is not used in the Sig 220's issued to Military Police either. Your call I suppose...

They worn't hurt your CZ, Seth. Hundreds of CZ-75s have cycled those rounds on the Bedford DND range. Maybe even yours. As for how they made thier route to your friend, most likely someone who used to shoot at NSRA got his monday night freebee allowance (CF used to supply the DCRA orgs with ammo) and pocketed them rather than shoot them - I doubt anyone stole them from the CF...;)

After this weekend, I should be all geared up to reload and no longer will I have to revert to shooting random freebie rounds... damn this recession.

Who knows, I may finally make a reappearance on AMA IPSC night :eek:

I was thinking the same thing. Must have been one hell of a bulge in his pants while standing there during the declaration!
 
FYI - I shot these tonight, everyone of them went bang, decent accuracy lots of kick... the burnt powder smelt very different from my usual rounds...

Someone at the range commented that they were "Dominion Rounds" made prior to IVI...

Not bad for being over 30 years old.
