After years of thinking about doing it, this year I actually got my **** together and took the firearms courses and got my PAL. I had my eye on the Colt Gold Cup Trophy .22 for a while, and I made it my first purchase. I brought it home November 1 and finally took it to the range on November 3.
I can't tell you anything about the accuracy (seems okay to me but I don't know anything). I was using cheap high velocity ammo and as a result (I hope that was the problem), out of 103 rounds fired, I had about 5 failures to feed from the magazine and 2 failures to eject. Most of these were when my girlfriend was shooting and she was not holding it tight enough. I did kind of expect this from the various reviews and comments I found on the internet, which all said it was fussy on ammo and preferred hyper velocity cartridges. Next time out I will go with the hyper velocity.
Can't wait to go out again, and also can't wait for the second gun to come in the mail !
