First hand impressions of HK MR223?

For such a substantial change to have occurred to the MR223 , I'm surprised that we haven't heard anything... Pics and video or this didn't happen.

Hey, I'm kinda mad at you!!!

Ever since you posted this picture in the "End of world" thread in the general forum. ;)

I thought I had narrowed down my next AR purchase and you go ahead and post something like this :yingyang:

I'm afraid I'm not that good of a photographer (that's just a stock HK416), but if you imagine a POF 415 power with a UBR stock - that's pretty much my setup.

holy crap!!! its an MR223 A1.... i didnt know that they were going to make an A1.... i know they made the MR556, then redesigned it to fit ar's and renamed it the MR556 A1...but im surprised that H&K germany did this as well...

Yeah I got it from wolverine. The strange thing is that it still comes with the old manual that never mention of the tool hidden in the buttstock. The grip does not have a storage area unlike MR556 also. No iron sight and muzzle break just like the old model.

Yes, it looks like the same standard MR223 grip (not the storage grip from the HK 416). So you absolutely need that tool to separate the upper and lower receivers?

This a very small detent inside the take down pin and you need to use the tool to press it in order to push the pin out or push the pin back in. Maybe a small size Allen wrench works also.

Would rather spend it on ammo. :D

Was firing the MR308 Yesterday along with a whole host of other AR's including some Canadian Colt C8's. You need a 308 rifle and the HK Mr308 delivers:D

But about the MR223 that is really annoying about them now correcting that stupidity and now my MR223 does not have that option:mad:

For me it is no big deal, but still...

Anyways my MR223 is set up the way I like it so it is of no concern.

Does it now have a two stage trigger too?
