Hey guys,

I'm scoping out potential handguns to get as I begin my collection. Only problem is I have small child like hands...

I really want a 9mm glock but I think the hand grip on a G17 would be too thick for my little rat claws. I know I'm just going to have to pick them up and hold them but I live in a backwater delta so certain things are hard to get ahold of.

Anybody else willing to admit they have smaller graspers and offer some insight to the issue? I've thinking maybe G19 (with 106mm barrel)... think that would be any better?

i have the opposite problem - i have big hands, but i can relate to your issue. the glock would not be good for you, but a 1911-style would be great. a revolver would also be good, a small or medium frame.

between the glock and 1911, the 1911 points more naturally due to the grip angle, but the glock has really easy to see sights and take-down is infinitely easier than a 1911. as someone somewhere posted, a stray cat could do a field-strip on a glock.

maaaybe - find a SF (slim frame) glock. as far as i know, the 36 (.45ACP) is the only one. but at that point, might as well get a 1911.

ruger SR9
very slim profile...low bore axis...easy to shoot...excellent ergonomics
removable and interchangeable backstrap system that allows the shooter to adjust the size of the grip

I haven't come across anyone has a smaller hand then me, but man has to find his way to live, buy whatever gun you like the most and deal with it, you will find no issue to handle any gun at all.

Damn near anyone can shoot anything.

If he can run a Glock, so can you.
