Purple are sighters off the Bog DeathGrip yesterday. Yellow was another sighter for wind this morning, 5L. Green was my first shot today without the tripod, then blue was my first hit at 1k. I got to 1/2 mile late last fall but then slipped couple times after a December rain a tore 5 rotator cuff muscles. Finally able to get after it again. Red plate is 18x24in.

Nice shooting, rifle and scope specs?
Rem700long that was a stainless synthetic in 280. Trigger sears were rough so it’s got a Trigger Tech 2 stage at 40oz. Bell and Carlson M40. IBI medium prefit in 6BR Norma. Vortex 6-36 set at 36x. Nightforce Unimount rings and base. Planning bigger cartridges and lighter barrels as this was intended to be an accuracy testing mule for a do it yourself hunting platform.

Good shooting
There’s only 4 muscles in the rotator cuff

Ouch hopefully you have a speedy recovery, I tore my bicep tendon and just had it reattached a couple of months ago . Injuries suck
I can relate, tore mine, full tissue tear bicep on August 11th, finally seeing a surgeon November 13th. At this stage I’m not even sure they can reattach it, I thought the window was 6 weeks.
BTW, nice shooting brother! 👍🏻

Back in 80s I served with a Infantry Warrant Officer who was a rifle team instructor
had shot at Bisley, DCRA ORA etc .
I saw him hit a FIG 11 target at 600 yards ,standing unsupported except for sling, with an FN C1A1.
Super skilled marksman. Amazing wind judgment.

That’s wild. That must take quite the practice to master, I’m impressed.

Good freakin job!
Being self taught I burned up 4500 rounds freehand from 2015-2020 to get to 600 with factory barrels. Took 2 1/2 years off trying hit the same hole at 100 with custom barrels at the bench using a Harris bipod. With greater understanding of the finer points it only took 400 more over 18 months to get to 1000.
Quality over quantity wins because detailed recall and understanding and refinement is everything.
