First look: 14" SINSINATI 20 gauge shotgun

The wood on yours sure looks alot nicer than the wood on the one in the add. I wonder if they are all that nice or if you just lucked out.

The grain is there, but less prominent in regular light. Came out better in pics.

You folks ever take a long term survey on your own regarding slugs from relatively short barreled shotguns?
Slugs tend to shoot very high from these shotguns with only the regular bead front sight.
Some manufacturers address this with a pedestal mounted bead, or in this example here, higher sights from the get go.

Cheers

I haven't myself Brutus. I have a few SBS's though and I'm going to test which one shoots slugs most accurately this season.

With this one I'll be shooting choked birdshot predominantly though.
So I'm not sure just how much affect an overly high front sight will have on hitting football sized targets at 15-30 yards. Shouldn't be too much of an issue.

I also picked one up at the Chilliwack show from Martin at Corwin Arms. Wood is beautiful. Took it out to the range today, fed it a mixture of slugs(3/4 oz.), buckshot, skeet loads. Functioned perfectly, no problems. Going to mount a scope.on it for close range use. I exercise my Rhodesian Ridgeback with a Quad, these dogs are a real cougar magnet. Any suggestions?

We placed an order for few more of them today. Tomorrow factory will provide us with list of Brand Names we can use for the production so Sinsinati is not the only option. What barrel lengths should we order? Let us know

Hey Martin, I think for the next order if you were to bring in some 10 to 12 inch barrel versions in a 20 gauge you would truly be creating a market for a product we have never seen here. And, if possible plastic stocks on them instead of wood. Just my 2 cents. See you at the Easter gun show

I had a 14" Ithaca 37 in 20 gauge years ago and it's one of those that I constantly kick myself for selling. I'd be on a 14" bead sighted 20 ga pump gun like a hobo on a ham sammich...

That would be the cat's meow. I've got a 14" Ithaca 37 in 12ga, 20 ga would be awesome.

I'd consider that the perfect synthesis of tacticool and fudd! Both terms used in the sincerest fashion of course.
Precision Knurls and Rails... Gorgeous deep figuring on the stock...
