First look at a Vortex Viper PST!

Ordered my PST FFP 4-16X50mm MILRAD/MILRAD last June in 2010...

Still no update on when they are coming in country?

:bangHead:

Cheers.

Who did you order it from? There have been constant updates from Vortex USA to Vortex Canada and finally to the dealers. I would suggest you contact your dealer, your scope should be available in four weeks or less.

I hate you Crashman. Now i bought the PST even though I bought a Sightron Big Sky because the PST's were out of stock. Sleeping on the couch again...Dammit.

im worth way more dead than alive so mine doesn't need anymore motivation lol.

Remember it is a contest. He who dies with the most scopes wins! And my wife will make sure I die early if I get many more scopes!

I own about 20 scopes, plus or minus a few. Likely plus.

Our 4-16x50's arrived yesterday. Nice scope, I may keep one for myself :) Feel free to stop by the store if you want to take a look.

In regards to an earlier comment on the thread; 1/8MOA clicks? Is that REALLY necessary? If you look at it subjectively, it really means you need to be able to shoot approx .125-.250" at 100 yards to actually need those. I mean if you're shooting to 2000 yards (1828m), that's 2.5" PO shift each click; yeah maybe it's useful at this range.

World record F-Class is 3.36" @ 1000yds I think. That's still larger than 0.25 MOA.

Wow that is sweet !!! I never knew they had a stop at each magnification level. Super cool.

Can you do me a favour and post the math for each level of zoom?
Thx

FFP scope = no correction for zoom level; nor is there any error introduced by erector tube tolerance factor, hence they retain a benefit lost by variable x scopes in the past. If a scope uses inferior (thick and poorly defined) reticles, however, FFP will give it away. FFP reticles grow with power but do so in relation to image size and hence give nothing away in accuracy. This is sometimes misunderstood.

I got into this after FFP scopes and "other than" mil dot reticles had become more common so have not suffered the adjustment anxiety of getting used to them. Both are improvements and both will become the norm in time ,,,, IMHO :D.

It costs less than those that don't have it, so why not?

Just got in some more 1-4 PSTs today.

We have another huge order arriving before Tuesday from the sounds of it, including all or most Crossfires (30mm) and Diamondbacks. A few Vipers and a Razor. Lots' more Strikefires as well.
