First pistol M&p 22 LR What else do I need to buy for this gun? What holsters are best? What ammo to use?

Where else do I need to spend money????

thx all!

Just buy lot's of ammo. Try different kinds as most rimfires usually show a preference for one or two kinds both for reliability and accuracy.

I wouldn't worry about too many add ons until you get out and shoot it a whole bunch and see if you need (or want) anything else. ie holster, extra mags, different sights etc.

plus since they are brand new into the country I don't know if there are any specific accessories for them imported yet. I heard mags are a little ways out let a lone holsters.

For a rimfire pistol? Find out which ammo makes your gun rock and then buy a sh#tload of that brand. At least a few hundred. 500-1000 is better. You will save time and gas going to the store that sells it. :)
Then just go shooting.

when you fire it, do range review write-up on what worked, what didn't, and your overall impression. I'd like to buy a small auto .22, I already own a great M&P 9mm, so I'd' really like to know how it does.

Since when is "a few hundred to a thousand" rounds "a sh#tload" of ammo? I've gone through 1500 rounds of .22LR in a single range session. If you're not buying it by the case(s), you're Doing It Wrong(tm). :D

I can, on one hand, count the number of time I've brought a .22LR to the range and didn't put at least a brick of ammo through it. I just sold a 10/22 that dumped 3k rounds down range in the 3-4 months I owned it. Neither of my centrefire handguns have even reached the 300 round mark in the same amount of time.
