I have the Grand Power K22 X-Trim that Ticketed referred to (post #7). I love the grip. Only minor beef is the place my left (support) thumb goes is on the end of the slide release. Not as comfy as my Shadow. Like I said, it's minor. Overall, it has an amazing, wonderful feel.
Accuracy is great. No issues there.
Now, about the ammo and mag issues.... If you load the mags to a full 10 rounds, you will most likely be pissed off in no time. I think the springs are too big/tight/whatever and/or follower bottoming issues because it sure seems like getting that 10th round in there can be brutal. One time when Ticketed loaded four mags for me, the top round of every mag had the bullet canted at an angle to the brass, causing feeding/firing issues. Or maybe these are designed to hold 9.99 rounds? This isn't like my wife's Buckmark.
For the first few range trips, I tried a variety of ammo and had problems with it all. Two recoil springs came with the pistol and I've tried them both. I now am using CCI AR Tactical .22LR ammo and it's running well, but often I'll only load 9 rounds in the mags. Sometimes 10 rounds, sometimes 9.
In searching the net, I came across a thread from the UK I think, where the guy went into detail about what he did to deal with the mags. I'll need to go find that thread again and see if I can get the gun happy with a wider range of ammo when loaded to 10 rounds.
The jury is still out while I do a couple things when I get a chance:
Measure the two springs that came with the pistol to see what each one is rated at to streamline testing.
Recheck all the ammo I have with a partially loaded mag.
Test a modified mag with all the ammo I have to see if that helps to fix the feeding issues (one example, hollowpoints would not feed at all previously)
If any of you are in the GVRD and don't mind driving to the Semiahmoo Range in South Surrey one of these Wed nights, you can try this pistol out. I've been way too busy lately to shoot much, but I'll be around more later in May.
