Well, today I went to the gun shop and actually held the pistols which I listed in the poll. I have to say that they are all really nice pistols, but without a doubt, the glock felt the best in my hands. I think that my decision may just be made.....

Good to see you've made a decision. What store did you check out, The Gun Dealer?

Get a .22lr and actually learn how to shoot. I regret not buying one. I have a glock 17. It costs alot more to learn the fundamentals of shooting with 9mm. Yes it is a million times cooler but i could have gone to the range alot more often if I had a good quality 22lr pistol. Trust me its the next pistol on my list.

plus the MP9 has that mag safety disconnect which would bug the living crap out of me in IDPA.
Not all of them do, mine doesn't. Anyhow, if you are uintent on shooting 9mm, just go to a local shop and hold one in your hand, then choose whatever feels better to ya, the Glock 17, or the M&P 9, you can't go wrong either way.

I found the Glock grip kinda "boxy" compared to the M&P. I'm not a hater though, I own a M&P40 as well as a Glock 26.:)
