Nice shooting Epoxy7.

I recently bought the same rifle off the E&E and started a thread for optics suggestions but didn't get many.

What scope are you running on your 700 5R mil spec Gen. 1 ?

Factory stock gen 1 Remington 5R milspec with 168 Federal Gold. First two groups I've ever shot in 308 at 100. Can't recall if it was yards or metres.

Plain jane, nothing fancy rifle. Yet it punches well above it's price point.

Agree, excellent shooting. .308 can be a very accurate round despite how down on it so many seem to be these days.

I see your scope is a costly one but he rifle is a savage. For some reason I put all the money into the rifle and then end up not having a nice scope lol

Savage rifles shoot great. Not dissing them. Just sayin. Somehow I never end up with a high end scope like that haha
