To the OP: With an on-line purchase, sit back and wait for delivery. You will need the cert in order to take your new toy to the range.

Since he bought from a dealer, the dealer starts and completes the transfer. If it's your first one you should call the CFO about a week in to check status and see if they require any info from you. Ie range/club membership proof

yes. It depends on the range how involved it is, but you will have to do a safety course before obtaining an ATT. Mine was a full day classroom and 3 shooting sessions with club guns.It is a very long process to be able to shoot a hand gun in Canada. Take rpal course , wait about six months or more for it to be approved and processed, then join a club and then take their course.
