I actually had one. In my hand. And then the unfortunate occurred and some lucky CGN'er got a discounted, brand new, ARMS#18 mount
As I sit here cussing under my breath and waiting patiently for Wolverine Supplies to get more in 2 MONTHS FROM NOW, I wonder if some of you could go over the details required to fit an ARMS # 18 mount, advise some of the issues that I may face, and how to avoid or overcome them.
I do want to mention that I've only ever installed 2 scopes on rifles, and only ever installed 1 set of rings. I have never attempted to affix a scope base onto the M14 platform before.
I will be installing the ARMS # 18 mount, installing the Burris Medium Zee rings (at Hungry's urging), and finally topping with the Bushnell 10x Elite 3200 scope.
I did read this thread:

and it seems that I may be tasked with slightly dremeling the rear of the hand guard to allow a set screw to come into contact with the receiver? Again, just one of the things I hope you guys could touch on.
Thanks for any help and suggestions you could give.
