It's a sweltering hot day again today so here's something to take our minds off the heat.

The 338 with the metal buttplate looks like the ideal set-up! My brother recently acquired an Alaskan which I felt was really too good for him.

Surprisingly the design of the stocks and the curve and width of the buttplates, the recoil is less than most other rifles and very manageable even for recoil sensitive shooters. The 300 H&H is a pure joy to shoot and the 338 WM is also as long as one keeps his cheek pressed against the stock. The 375 H&H is more forgiving than the 338 WM and like the 300 H&H gives a push straight back.

Very nice collection! Yup, my son and I own three 300 H&H's. The H&H is a beautiful cartridge and fun to shoot.
