I wonder how many Type 81s were produced, I'm guessing at least 3-4 million?

Anyways I believe many if not most Type 81s *can* use AK mags, although they lack the Type 81 mag's bolt hold open function.

I wouldn't mind paying $1200 if it included a chromed barrel, that's not cheap by Red Rifle standards but its still a lot cheaper than most modern military style nonrestricted rifles.

bump er up for the type 81, because they are badass!!!.

I'm joining the Type 81 fanclub, I'm willing to put off buying a CZ858 to get this beastly rifle if it's available next year. (would love it to be at the -900 end but if it's NR I could care less 'bout price)

Type 81 looks pretty damned cool... MK9 is interesting too. Interested to see some pricing. Would these be new or surplus firearms? Wow, if I see these for sale I may have a light pocketbook...

I think for me, for the Floro and Mendoza would only be worth it if they were 10 round legal as pistols. Anytime I see an interesting "SMG" and find out it's only 5 rounds as rifle, I get turned off instantly.

But then, I'm in the position of my shooting development where I'm trying to get away from 5 rounders and seek out more 10 rounders and/or equivalent loopholes.

type 81 only if under a grand.. 12 or 13 hundo for a Norc is not happnin.... lol

I would spend that cash on a old Garand instead :) Or a nice AR variant mebbe.

Tactical Imports: is there a status update onthe Type 81, or any of these guns for that matter??

T81 sample under review.

Floro Mk9 turned out to be too expensive.

HM3s no word from manufacturer. We have moved on to other, more interesting proejcts to pursue.
