* FN Browning Model 115 – Dutch Police Contract
Here is a modernized version of Model 1910
Dated 1978 (as per first two digits on grip strap)
Condition : mint/unused (except for 1 mag inserted & removed)
Made for Dutch Police (but likely never delivered)
Came with extra mag and a cleaning tool in original delivery box
Technical aspects are presented in "FN Browning Pistols" (Expanded 2nd Edition), by A. Vanderlinden, p.353-354:
raised fixed sights, round top of the slide, cocked indicator, wider grip safety, larger grips, thumb-rest,
magazine incorporating a synthetic finger rest, longer barrel bushing
89 mm barrel & 7,65 cal. (i.e. Prohibited 12-6)
Markings
SN appears on frame, slide and barrel : 536196
Property marking on front grip strap, numbered 78H46496
Mag floor plate is marked 7,65 m/m
Factory engraved crest ("J") of Queen Juliana near front sight
(Interestingly, author indicates Model 120 and 125 pistols bear the royal crest, but he makes no mention of so-marked Model 115)
So I contacted author A. Vanderlinden who wrote :
« Hello Bruno, Very interesting! Wonderful to encounter new materials!
