FN Five-seveN - very neat little gun! *now with video x 2*

Comparing the keltec to the FN is a bit misleading.

They are both polymer.... But one is a serious pistol, The other is...
They are just different.

with store bought ammo they are comparable.
but once you upsize into the military round the 22mag gets left in the dust.

not that we can get the military round....

I think they need to change the safety and make a conversion to .22mag.

yes, a bit less powerful, but similar and we can't use it for anything else but range stuff.

WAY cheaper, WAY more readily availiable ammo, similar ballistics(for paper), low recoil etc.

ah, see ive found the fault in your logic.... your USING logic.

I have to be honest. I am kind of cheap. This gun/ammo maybe the next big thing. But at $1400/1000 rounds (last I heard) and non reloadable to boot not for the faint of heart. I looked into this gun a while ago, hot to get one and advice I got here still holds. Compared to a .22 Mag round, this round isn't enough better to be worth the high cost of ammo or the cost of the gun. I have a .22 Mag and it works pretty well.

The rounds are reloadable. Lee & redding both make dies. The bullets are the same size as 5.56/223 so not hard to find. Load data was a little hard to find but the new manuals have it.

if i had the money to burn id snag one in a hearbeat.
once you shoot it youll understand.
by far one of the nicest most controllable handguns ive ever shot.
even getting the ammo dosnt detract me from it.
i think i might set my sites on the rifle version the Ps-90 and ill just wait for the pistol to get handed down to me from my dad when he is done with it.
thats the plan im running with right now.

Last I heard, maybe 2 years ago is reloading is dicey. There is some kind of coating on the brass? Reloading was the cause of a few kabooms I think. Worth checking that out before you jump into that I think.

Its a sensitive cartridge. You'd want a good scale its fractions of grains that matter with it. Where as most rifle/pistol rounds have a far degree of forgiveness in the over charge area. When kabooms happen quite often its a screw up in reloading that's the same across all cartridges. The key is not to screw up and all is good.

im glad you like it, but for my small little hands that sized handle will never ever do, so not for me, id rather get a nice 1911.

it definitely feels strange in the hands with that extra deep grip that they need to accommodate the rounds in the mag.
but it shoots sooooooOOooOooOooOoo nice!
