As some people understand it the additional weight of the AP round at velocity creates much more friction(heat) and that can cause the round count limit to sometimes be as low as 20K until it requires service (replacing) I don't know if anyone has the ballistic data for this round in AP but I believe the AP veolcities were orignally in 1850FPS range with a 65gr round, but I could be wrong. As opposed to a 40gr round at about 1650FPS

I get mine in the US. I get it shipped to Buffalo Gun Center for $20 package handling fee (number of boxes and/or size does not matter).

I drive it from there and decalre it at CBSA (Canada Customs) on the way back. Sometimes they'll phone the explosives people to make sure "it's on the list", sometimes they just charge ya the tax on it.

I believe that one of the Admins (Mike K) has an serious issue with this "illegal" importation and will want this thread stopped right now. Yeah I know the logic behind this, so lets not go there.

The importation is legal. The export from the US is not. BGC is flaunting US law selling the ammo to non resident aliens.

Actually, CGN has a problem with discussion of the illegal export of ammo from the US, not just MikeK.

From the forum rules:

The following topics will not be tolerated. Violation will result in immediate and permanent suspension. Some quasi legal/ grey/downright illegal examples that are specifically not tolerated are:

1.Shipping and driving items to Canada from the US that require US export permit,

Sorry folks there was a typo in there.

THEY'LL (BGC) drive it to CBSA and declare it for ya, then YOU pay the tax on it and drive it home.

It is illegal for a "non-resident alien" to take posession of ammo or firearms while in the US.

Bad bad bad typo, sorry bout that.

Typo my a$$. I call BULLSH*T!

lol. Do you think I'd want to get caught with ammo while in the US? I drive a car with no mufflers, 100watt yellow lowbeams, nitrous, etc. I get pulled over ALL the time. I wouldn't risk it in the US.

You can verify with BGC that they drive it to CBSA.

Trust me, that's how I do it.
