Does anyone know where to get the new type follower for using the lever evolution ammunition in Marlin firearms?

That's the stuff with the pointy rubber tip on it?

Never heard of a need for a new follower. In fact, as far as I know, the ideawas to be able to use the stuff without having to worry about pointy bullets in a tube magazine, sorta thing.

Heck, if you have any more info on the need, by all means, post it, and I'll learn another new thing. :)

Cheers

the thing is with the new ammo is that the last round in the mag may not feed properly, supposedly all the new guns come with this follower.checked with a local gunsmith about it (last fall)and said would be getting them in but back ordered. There was some write up on this on either Marlins web site or hornadys when the ammo was introduced. was hoping someone on here might know where they can be gotten.

I have 2 Marlins, an 1895 GS 45/70 and a 336 XLR 30-30. Neither has an issue with the new ammo.
If you are looking for Marlin parts in Canada, call Western Gun Parts in Alberta. I have ordered a few times from them. It is easier if you have the part #. PM me if you can not find a number or address for them.

The new ones have a small dimple on the end.

You can always load a regular shell in the mag first, then the balance with the LE rounds, and then you would have no problem.

Left to right. Steel 1970's 336, new 1894, new 1895, new XLR with concave face, Aluminum Wild West also with (slightly less) concave face

Wild West Guns Its a firearms store in Alaska. Seems you either have good luck or bad luck with them. I have email them, along with many other people and have never got a return email, plus their website is for the birds.

I tried to order the new follower for my 45-70 from Brownell's, but unfortunately the manufacturer did not do the paperwork to enable Brownell's to ship to Canada, so no can do.
