For all those Marstar haters!

I agree 100%, any suggestions ?? We pay very good finders fees.... Let me know about the surplus available in which countries
John

Supply sources drying up are they? I know Coles in the US has had a bunch of Israeli surplus Browning Hi-powers lately. Any chance of getting in on something like that?

In my experience they can be a bit slow but otherwise I've had no issues. They returned a broken item without giving me a hassle and they've sold me guns at good prices. I was patient and they made everything right in the end and that's what counts. YMMV

The only thing that is unfortunate about Marstar is their SOLD OUT tags on everything on the website. Just delist it. Its annoying but I still browse there

I just got a package that I ordered last week. I'm very happy with the 140yr old parts. The 70yr old parts were installed imediately.

And I finally got around to registering on the website and registering for the miitary discount.

should have done that years ago when I bought one of the M305's from the second shipment.

I met John at the EESA military shoot, he was there with some of his staff. John let me shoot a bunch of guns free of charge, his staff were helpful and pleasant
and he donated free shirts, prizes for the match and was very easy to deal with.

We have some really nice M-305s from a recent shipment

Always a pleasure to meet with our customers at any time John

Perhaps you would be kind enough to advise of any available software that would allow us to remove "sold out" items but at the same time let the customer know they will be coming and advise those interested automatically when the items arrive ? John

I can see the condescending attitude mentioned earlier.

Awesome company!!! All my orders are fast as well.

I am a long term customer of Marstar. I have purchased LOTS of stuff from them.

Placed an order for a 1911 pistol on Monday. It's shipping TODAY. Slightly over 48 hours. I just don't understand those folks who ##### and moan. Kudos to John and his team, top notch service as usual.

Thk

I thought he promised a while ago he was not going to troll anymore. Around the time when remarkably original replacement account Johntwo emerged.

What/who do you use for web authoring? Simply removing the lines for the product in a typical text editor for the ones you will never likely see again should be pretty easy. Im in the webhosting business and would be happy to pass along constructive pointers. Perhaps get a discount on one of those nice shiney m-305's?

I thought Marstars was sold recently? At least that's the rumour I heard. I can't verify it though.

Yes the website shows most stuff out of stock. The chances of it coming in again are often non existent. Pretty much most of the cool stuff. If it's in stock and something you want your best bet is to go for it. Don't count on more.

I'm not a hater, frankly I'm indifferent. I've had no issues or positive experiences with Marstars as I've never been a customer. I've never bought anything from them even though I came close once. After selling my house about 5 years ago I called up and wanted to see if I could get a package deal with MG34. BD44 and 42 prototype model. They were out of the 34 and none have been in since. There seemed to be no real interest with sales or selling me the other two so I used the MG34 being out as a nice way to thank them and get away from any comitment. I would look back every now and then but was able to resist ordering the other rifles. As it turns out reliability with all 3 seem to be a concern. Dodged a bullet there. I have heard good things about their return/waranty. But let's be honest having to use any warranty generally sucks for the consumer. I understand trying to sell peace of mind but to me it's still a headache and not a selling feature.

Prices seem good on what they have in stock. I respect that!!!

From the posts though by John it's sort of the same as when I called up. I had 10K burning a hole in my pocket and it's the first time I've ever seen a retailer persuade me to walk away. Glad I did but still puzzling. In most places they want you to leave buying more than you planned not less. Oh well.

Also seems John hasn't joined the 21st century yet. Ie about paper forms for those with poor connections. Many of us use our cell phones these days. In fact I'm posting this using a cell phone now. It might not get to my computer for days or weeks. When people talk about android, they aren't referring to Robby Robot from lost in space.

As for the finding a way to get rid of the sold stuff. One poster just advised there is a button for show in stock only. Get whoever does your web site settings to make that the default with show all as the selectable setting. Or keep doing it your way. I'm not getting paid for problem solving here. But this doesn't and shouldn't really be a big hurdle. Frankly if one or two people complain about something you can probably hold onto the idea that it's a minor complaint and benefits might out weigh negatives. After that it's probably worth taking another look if multiple people have an issue with it. If it's a business plan to try and look like there is more stuff, well it's backfiring.

If you're feeling generous feel free to send me a BD44. Or is it out of stock?

update: I just took a look at the website again. I couldn't find the button that gets rid of out of stock stuff. I spent more time going through out of stock stuff than in stock. The BD44 is however no longer listed instead of just out of stock.

I would seriously consider changing over that website as another poster later on in this thread suggested. The current one served it's purpose but it's not as user friendly as the stuff the competition is going to.

I know I have put at least 4 things on my "Wish List" and received e-mail notifications that they were back in stock and ready to purchase. Maybe I just lucked out on the things I chose...?
