Recently received it after several months of waiting..............was well worth it.

Breakdown

Cooper Model 52 Classic
Chambered for 6.5x284 Norma
26 inch barrel
1:8 Twist
Ken Farrell Picatinny rail base
Ken Farrell rings
Topped it off with Zeiss Conquest 4.4x14x50.....German Reticle
Total weight with gun, scope, rings, bases only is 10 Lbs. 12 oz.

No I'm not target shooting with it, let along long range shooting....................only for deer and antelope.

We (son and I) are suckers for heavy firearms. Most of our guns are heavy but accustom to their weight and comfortable with the lighter recoil in the magnums.

I assume it's a 26" tube to weigh that much, love the wood. I'd take it.

Why 10 lbs is too heavy? my 9.3x62 is about 10 lbs, I dont feel much weight.

Yep, it has a 26 inc barrel, however; the scope is a 50 mm objective and those Ken Farrell rings and base weigh a ton. This Cooper is the second heaviest of all three that we own.

I personally know three gentlemen in Canada who will fix/repair any scratch, gouge, etc to perfection in case something happens. It does shoot as good as it looks................hence their 50 yard test target. Because of the bird season upon us and big game soon after, load development will only occur this winter (something to do during the long winter). I might be able to get to the range once this fall but I know that I won't be using it this hunting season.
