Forearm glued to the barrels on a Over under?

I got it on friday. Immediately sent him some pictures and he offered to take it back right away.I bought it from Tradeex, and I'm not worried about them trying to scam me, just an honest mistake probably.

You realize though that you will be out the shipping charges both ways. At least that is the way it worked with me when I returned a rifle that had a couple of issues.

IMO, It's common to get firearms from them with issues not disclosed in the description. I think they don't even test for basic functions but just do a very rough visual check before dumping it in a cardboard box without any kind of padding for shipping.

I wouldn't get my shirt in a knot at Tradex over this. They are in the volume, budget used gun business. As Riversrest points out, visual check and away it goes.

It's why they have a no questions asked 30 day return policy. As far as shipping goes, that is the price of mail order. You didn't get in a car and drive 40 min one way to the gun store to buy it and you don't have to drive 40 min to return it. No matter how you buy a gun, there is a cost to actually gaining possession of it, whether it's by delivery or you go get it.

I offered to drive over there so they see for themselves but they are not open to the public because of the virus.

The 50$ of shipping won't bankrupt me, I just like the idea of being made whole since I wouldn't have bought the gun if the description was honest. They have plenty to choose from.

Had I driven there, I wouldn't have picked up the gun since I would have inspected the gun before.

Tradeex doesn't break down guns to ship. They are packaged and shipped assembled.

I’ve never had an issue with Tradex. They have always packaged the shipments well and went out of their way to make the one issue I had with them right. Excellent retailer in my opinion

It depends on how you want to look at it and what their business practices are. Maybe they don't treat everyone the same. All I know is it cost me $65.00 for a gun that was defective before they put it in the box. I emailed them about the issues just to make them aware there were problems. I said I could look at it as maybe it wouldn't take much to rectify. They said no, send it back for a full refund. I got a refund but cost me $65.00 for shipping. Sure you can use the analogy of you didn't have to drive there. But it really comes down to how do you want to operate your business. They are doing online sales in hopes of getting customers they normally wouldn't get. I was a repeat customer of several times and I certainly don't think that was good business practice to be treated like that, especially when they didn't know the real condition of the product they were selling. I can give you the details of a US business that my wife did business with in December. They made a mistake and they bent over backwards to make it right, far beyond what we were expecting. They gave us a full refund on our first order, redid the order for free and sent it in 4 days from Florida by Fedeex Plus they gave us a coupon for 20% off if we ordered anything again. So I guess it depends on how you want to look at it and how one wants to run a business.

They send you something you would not have bought if they disclosed the problems the gun has. Then you inspect it for them and send it back on your dime, lol. It's quite the business model they have going on there...

I don't know. Things happen. They took it back with no argument. Tradeex sells a lot of guns. I would hope they would refund your shipping but I have bought quite a few guns from them and I have nothing to complain about. I have always found them to be very good to deal with and will likely deal with them again.
