Forend strap for 14" Norinco pump

It shouldn't be to hard with a bit of drilling and maybe some dremmel work to recess the fastners.
You could use t-bolt hardware that comes in a few different styles.
Depending on how thick the foreend is where you want to mount the straps you might have to shorten the t bolts...Loctite and you will be good to go!
Here's an example of some T bolts. Post some pics. when you are done.

Has anyone bought or made a forend strap for their 870? I will be picking up my new 14" Norinco 870 clone.

Instructions, photos, tips and ideas welcome.

Do you mean the forend with a strap around it to keep your hand from slipping?

Yes, that's what I'm thinking about.

it keeps your hand from slipping off the forend and getting too close to the muzzle when you close the action.

Plus they look cool for the mall ninja in all of us!

Ya it's not really needed with a full butt stocked shotgun.
The houge foreend is nice if you want a shorter but grippy foreend.

The strap makes more sense for a pistol grip only shotgun.

I had my hand slip off the forend during a rapid fire session with slugs so I decided to put a strap onto Rosie O'Donnel's forend.

I made the loop wide enough so that I could use it with mitts on.

It took 15 minutes with a drill and dremel. If they don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

Strap looks good!
It would be nice if you could adjust the length to fit your hand/hand wear.
That fore end looks pretty slick as in not very grippy!
The speedfeed if you like plastic and hogue if you like rubber are my favorites...The wooden police ones are nice too:)

What kind of ghost ring sights are those and how are they installed? What extension is that?

:shotgun: geologist detailed the building of (bleep) in this thread: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=136861

The sights are Trak Lock, from Trijicon or Scattergun Technologies. (Front is epoxied over original. Rear requires two holes to be drilled and tapped.)

The +1 extension is Scattergun/Wilson Combat.

Both are also available in :canadaFlag: from The Shooting Edge. http://www.theshootingedge.com/

Here is my attempt at it....

Stippled the fore end, you can see where the orange paint is where I cut it down. Made the strap with 1" buckles secured by kydex loops that were screwed in.

Looks kinda goofy but feels good.

Maybe that helps or gives you an idea.

Sublime, that's more along the lines of what I was thinking, but I'd just make the loops out of the same webbing material instead of using kydex.
