I bet WA just hasn’t updated state law to be in concordance with federal law.
And never will, even most pro-gun people here think "screw those icky furriners, if it's that important to 'em they can move and become citizens." This is why in legalese *I* have the paper owning all the toys and C. just gets to play with 'em on the range with me when she can get out here.

And things are only gonna get worse with the Soviet Socialist Suckhole of Seattlegrad...

Any idea on the current timing for Form 6NIA? I submitted one on July 9th so 5+ weeks so far. With Michigan deer season starting Sept 21 (early antlerless) I'm getting a bit nervous if it comes back asking for edits/mods.

Just call or email them asking if they need additional info, tell them about your timing concern.

What part of “Shall not be infringed” do these lunatics (who swear under oath to uphold the constitution-LMAO) not understand?

Between my wife and myself, both of our Forum 6 NIA's took 5 1/2 months to receive. That and the border inspection to verify all the serial numbers on multiple firearms leaves me with a less than a enjoyable trip. After 12 years competing in the US, I am wondering if it is worth all the trouble. Possibly next year all the matches I shoot will be in Canada.

The weird thing is when I last crossed into Michigan and coming back home in August after declaring my firearms I wasn't sent to secondary either time. The Border Guards both just asked which firearms I had from my list and they sent on my way.

Just received my latest Form 6NIA. Took 4 weeks from day its was sent to day I received it.

Also, there is now a revised version (June 2024) and they will no longer accept the older form. So if you have it bookmarked or saved, best to get the latest one.

I've always been asked "which ones are you bringing" by the USBP even with no inspections.

Had my first ever inspection by CBSA this Aug after declaring firearms at the Coburn Gore crossing from Maine. (I only had my Garand, no handguns that time)

Interesting bit was that as we were leaving, a US plated car was pulled into the inspection station and the girl driver started stammering that she had pepper spray she forgot to declare... Then we left so no idea how it ended...

My first time submitting a form 6. If you'd like to email the form how do you sign it? do they just let that part go, or do you print it out and then send pics? Thanks

new form 6 came back 10 weeks later.
Forgot to put where I was born or it would’ve been faster.
CBSA this time around had us pull into secondary. All they did was check the cases and our Licenses. Didn’t bother looking at Serials or Paperwork.
Other than it being cold and windy I couldn’t care less. My only gripe was the look on the girls face at the booth when I said bolt action rifle. She seemed perplexed. Didn’t know what precision rifle was. Mentioned a Glock & CZ and her face looked annoyed. She wasn’t having any of it. Kinda just brushed us off to secondary with the face of someone who just mouthed “not my problem”.
Take it all with grains of salt. US matches are worth the nonsense on both sides.
Nobody in Canada is doing what they do. Check out Arena Training Facility in Georgia. An absolute hoot.
