Fossari Shotguns Heard of them? Opinions?

They still do, but at 10" LOP and no adjustable comb I would still have to hack it up to make it what I need. Something I previously tried with 2 Rem 1100, in 12ga & 20ga and wasn't ever truly happy with and was still getting kicked in the face.

In my experience "getting kicked in the face" has more to do with pitch angle than LOP or other measurements.

Have you gotten a quote for a made to measure gun? I inquired about a Fausti slx with custom stock and the price went from $3800 to $7200. I've also been told that RFM upcharge $1200 or so just for a stock with a bigger palm swell

Have you considered a TSK or PFS? You would have an almost infinite amount of adjustment and can make changes if needed. My PFS will adjust down to 12.5" and extend to 15". And all the other adjustable parameters in it are endless. You can buy the TSK without a recoil reducer in it too. The PFS you'd simply remove the washers in it to eliminate the recoil reducer if you didn't want that feature.

That looks very well made but it is butt ugly in every sense. lol

They alwasy look like a cheap prosthetic leg to me.

The gun makers that we all respect have made an art and a science out of never sacrificing function, yet wrapping their designs in aesthetics that make the gods blush. These 'contraptions' are fully functional, but they look like sh*t. There's no good reason to my mind for not designing the same functions into an attractive stock.

I like the looks of the Fossari Sporting although I don't like schnabel fore ends or the wavy lines of the checkering but that's just my taste. The Boss action is time proven and used by a lot of top end brands, the durability and longevity of it is proven beyond any doubt. 8 3/4 lbs is a good weight for a sporting gun as long as it's balanced well and that weight makes a 400 round weekend very easy to manage. I'd love to try one out!

Not sure where you are getting your information from, perhaps a very dated Brit review, when Zoli's were not as well known. Things have changed as forum after forum has posts from people preferring the Zolis to just about everything out there. Antonio Zoli guns, from the research I have done, seem to be holding their value better than Perazzis or Blasers and as well as DT11s. Only Krieghoffs and Kolars seem to be the value retention kings from what I have been seeing the past couple of years.

For stock work, Jakob Strasser near Calgary is supposed to do nice work.
- If not going full custom, maybe have the stock butstock reworked?

I think it would be more sense to buy something where parts and service would be more readily available... But considering that I'm seldom that rational when making a purchase...
- If you're set on a Fossari... Run with it... It's a long term purchase, I'd want to negotiate a few spare springs and firing pins (just for the peace of mind)

Yes, Jakob does fine work.

I'll make the assumption that your referring to my comment about how the Zoli's are not holding their value. No I didn't get that from some outdated Brit review... welcome to the forum by the way. My opinion is from what I've seen in the local market over the last few years since the guns started showing up around here. Possibly they are holding their value better in your area and others but I assure you that around here they haven't been holding their value in the same way that some other brands will. I expect that will change over time as more people come to realize they are a very well built gun and more of them get into circulation but for now they aren't selling as readily as some of the other brands. Of course pricing puts them well above the price of a new Beretta or Browning so it will take a while before we see a lot of them on the ranges, that also doesn't do anything for resale either.
