Are the sights on those sako barrels soldered on? Do they have a ring around the barrel for a base?

Yes, it is an upperclass Frankenrifle. Of elite heritage and upbringing.

The front is soldered on. Will check on the rear and get back to you.

well I see the franken riffle zombie thread is back

I submit the new to me Parker Hale Safari built on a commercial Mauser (Spanish Santa Barbara) that was mated to a Swedish MG barrel chambered in 8x63, and an unknown laminate stock that was heavily bedded with JB weld (I think)

Both sights are soldered on. No barrel band on either.
