I spoke with him the other day and from what I understand, a little extra thumb goes a long way when it comes to long range!

I got him started on a new hunting rifle for me. Winchester Mod70 CRF action, Ron Smith Barrel, McMillan Stock, Williams Firearms Stainless one piece bottom metal, and a stainless CNC replacement extractor.

It will be a 300 WM of course.

Now I sit and wait,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, this is already painful for me,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I can't believe they made you wait 8 months for your actions!! I guess the Timberwolf business must be doing well.

Those are going to be some sweet rifles! Congrats!

That rifle is going to call for pics and a story Blackcloud. Sounds sweet.:D I believe he still has a thumb to put into your project.:p :D He put a little extra in mine also. Sign of quality.:D :D

I finally came to the realization that there are only a few things that will truly satisfy me, the custom hunting rifle is one. Next will be a new tactical rifle but my HS Precision Pro2000 HTR will do nicely for now.

There are many stories which lead up the the hunting rifle, some great and some I'd rather forget! However, after a few beer I'll tell them all anyways.

I'll buy. Just posted my latest hunting sob story on Canadian Gunslingers feel free to add yours.

Looks nice a nice rig for sure. Canadian or not, PGW is not the only action builder out there and a 8 month wait, to each his own I suppose. Guys waiting 2 years, life is too short. There are many outstanding custom rifle builders. I understand PGW is building rifles for the Cdn Forces but they seem to have forgotten about the common man.

Starting to look like something now!

JNG,
How are going to finish the barrel surface or are you going to keep with the stainless. Just curious because I am getting a new barrel and was wondering if anyone in Alberta, Edmonton area in particular who could do the barrel. I was hoping to get an od type finish to match my stock. Outstanding looking pieces of kit by the way. Thx.

Gun Kote, Armacoat, or Dura Coat are your choices if you want a OD barrel.

Or good ol' Krylon..........;)

SKBY.

The barrels on those two rifles will be chemically blackened. Mine will be completely "darth vader" black. The other will be black and O.D.
