Fraternal Twins. A year later and DONE - More photos

As long as he doesn't spin the barrel off and make another damn long range gopher gun out of it. I do remember him mumbling something about "338 Lapua" when it arrived there!

He tried to give me that 416 as well, but a Ruger???? Maybe in 338 Lapua, but Rigby???
I may have thought about it a bit more if there was a recoil pad on it, but I just don't crave abuse that much.
KK

No, but he was in the process of setting the barrel back and rechambering for .17HMR  Then that sucker will really scream :dancingbanana:

Then we could duct tape an old wool sock filled with sand on the front end as a make-shift bipod!

"Well????? Any actions show up yet???
Eager to see the photos of them , have heard alot about the Timberwolf action but have never seen 1.
KK"

Dude, you think you're eager? The actions were supposed to take "a few weeks". My buddy and I are now at 28 weeks and 4 days:( . Last I heard PGW was supposed to ship them last week. If so, they should be showing up any day now. As soon as they do I will post more photos.

Jeff, that sounds like way to much time for actions that were promiced long ago. I know the PGW action holds a pride of ownership factor, but so do a few others that would fit that stock thats already machined for them. Just a thought but 28 weeks + and still nothing doesnt seem right. Have they contacted you with a reasonable expanation as to the delay? or don't they realy care?  :(

Finally!!! After almost 8 months I my buddy and I have finally got our Timberwolf Actions. The spare mags are missing in action but at least the rifle build can start now.

I just have to get mine blackened to match the stock...

.. Those are pretty nice looking works of art you are working on, acouple of Picaso's by the looks of them:D . ...

...Boy it sure sucks when you have to wait like that. When I ordered my A-5, McMillian said it would be 6-8 weeks:D . Action showed up in 2:D , barrel showed up in 4:D and 6 months, 11 days after I ordered it, the stock showed up  . I was almost ready to take a trip down there and help them get the darn mould ready myself. Couldn't believe it. But then, Uncle Sam had first dibs:eek: and he was alittle busy and in more need than I was I guess. Had a bigger order to I'll wager. When I ordered everything, it was just another rifle purchase, once the action showed up, I was like a kid in a candy store, when the barrel arrived I was like a kid on Christmas morning waiting for Mom and Dad to get up, by the time the stock arrived, you could cut the tension with a knife. And the first thing my smith says is, "It'll be a week before I can start it."  :runaway: I near crapped my pants, but held my tounge. I didn't want that time line to be extended. Four days latter it was all together and in my hot little hands.

..Have fun and let us know how they shoot.

Great looking rigs!, I feel you're pain about the waiting game, my box of parts has been with him for over 2 years due to one delay or another and it's finally coming together.. so get in line! :D

All I can say is COOL,,,

"HWSNBN" talked me into building my dream rifle a while back. After seeing all the goodies going together here I'm green, (or black), with envy!!

Nice, very very nice.

... Can someone PM me and point me in the direction of that .416 Rigby. I am not sure of who "He who can not be named is." all though I have a good idea, as I have noticed a certain someone who is not on the forum anymore. Missed that whole thing so please, please, someone point me towards that .416 Rigby with an e-mail address or phone #.... If he's been trying to give it away, I would even be interested in giving up some cash for it. I like free things, but that would be to much to hope for.

McMillan A5 Stocks
Ron Smith Barrels
Jewell Triggers
US optics Scopes, rings and anticant devices

I spoke with him the other day and from what I understand, a little extra thumb goes a long way when it comes to long range!

I got him started on a new hunting rifle for me. Winchester Mod70 CRF action, Ron Smith Barrel, McMillan Stock, Williams Firearms Stainless one piece bottom metal, and a stainless CNC replacement extractor.

It will be a 300 WM of course.

Now I sit and wait,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, this is already painful for me,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I can't believe they made you wait 8 months for your actions!! I guess the Timberwolf business must be doing well.

Those are going to be some sweet rifles! Congrats!
