We have Swiss made .308 barrels and can rebarrel a rifle for you. Barrels are pricey but great quality: https://store.theshootingcentre.com/search.php?search_query=k31§ion=product.308 would be nice! I've heard that some were rechambered in the past
How do these rifles hold up with commercial .308 or is it a reduce load sort of deal? May be very interested in this.We have Swiss made .308 barrels and can rebarrel a rifle for you. Barrels are pricey but great quality: https://store.theshootingcentre.com/search.php?search_query=k31§ion=product
CIP shows 308 operating at a higher max pressure, they also show 7.5x55mm at a higher pressure than GP11.How do these rifles hold up with commercial .308 or is it a reduce load sort of deal? May be very interested in this.
Good to know. What would be the over all cost of swapping out a barrel on one of these?CIP shows 308 operating at a higher max pressure, they also show 7.5x55mm at a higher pressure than GP11.
I know of nobody in Switzerland that down loads 308 for use in Swiss rifles, but if you are abundantly cautious, reload.
About $150 for the work depending on the condition of the rifle. So $1300ish + tax/shipping with a donor rifle.Good to know. What would be the over all cost of swapping out a barrel on one of these?
