From the Mind of BUBBA

His one wouldn't be. It's just models with more then 10k j evergy. Similar to how some Ruger no1 were banned. There must have been one registered/imported back in the day chambered in something big.

"1908 Brazilian Mauser: Banned in paragraph 96 on page 301. Prohibited since 2020, though ONLY
models with muzzle energy that surpasses 10 000 joules."

and the government said that for the buyback they consider just the receiver as the complete firearm. So technically if you take the barrel off it could have been barreled with a 338LM or 460 that qualified as prohibited.

the rules are idiotic

well I guess I am guilty of being a bubba

have just finished cutting the extractor groove and screwing on the 44 Mag barrel on a No4Mk1 action and I'm looking for a synthetic stock,

and I am just waiting to get a 22Hornet reamer to finish up a 22Hornet on a No1MkIII action.

When the day comes for the confiscation the best Bubba that I will be doing will be painting my Colt AR 15A2 Sporter in HOT PINK and handing it into those fools that think Black Guns are dangerious. I know this is totally a sacrilege act on this Colt Firearm, but I have no other choice of protest against a government that doesn't respect Licenced, and Vetted, Law Abiding Gun Users in Canada.
