Frontier arms SKS, Lever arms SKS, or Marstar SKS?

I know a Canadian site where you can get Chinese SKS's for $180. But I don't think I'm allowed to say who ,though, since they aren't a supporting dealer.

You are allowed to say . You just can't hot link to there web site

okay. canadiangunz.com
Site ain't flashy and I believe you just email him for a purchase (email addy at the bottom). The way he describes how he got them is very interesting. I'm too timid to actually buy one because of Marstar's supposed shipment will cause prices to go down (But I'm also giving in to the urge). I've only bought airguns from the guy and it's always been good (he dabbles in both). Basically I stumbled upon this in the powderburner section of airgunforum.ca

so have a gander if you like.

Are you sure it is not an airgun?

yup. he separates the firearms from airguns. Two different shops. Besides, if there was an airgun sks-look-alike, it'll sell like crazy especially if it was under 500fps. I'm participate in both forms of shooting and I know for a fact that firearm-look-a-like airguns generate lots of buzz. It's akin to the buzz non restricted "black rifles" cause on this forum (if you want an example).

Ok that is cool. Those are not Russian thought. The price reflects that.

yea, they aren't. I said specifically that they're Chinese Norinco SKS's. Just thought I point this out seeing as this thread mentions about Norc SKS's which you only find them on EE these days. Don't worry. You guys still got the good ones :p

frontier is great, nice website with shopping cart, great service, friendly and professional folks, hand pick stuffs, and free shipping plus 5% GST make it cheaper to buy sks than I buy it locally from leverarms.

Got a sks from Lever and no problems with them what so ever. Now I personaly have not had a bad experience with Lever but other may have. The nice thing about Lever is you can choose your sks. :shotgun:

Sorta. You can "choose", but only from behind the glass. They hate it when you ask them to let you fondle one. They'll let you do it once or twice... but they start to get really agitated when you ask for more than that. The service gets pretty douchey even the first time you ask. But hey, with the price they have, its still a good deal.

...watch out for the guy with the mullet.

Got mine from Lever and wasn't too happy with the quality of the rifle they shipped. I did request if they can send me one of the better ones and was told they are all the same. Learned much later they didn't include the cleaning kit that is normally stored in the buttstock.

I got mine from Lever (from "the mullet man") and I do agree they need to improve on their customer service skills. Fortunately, the mullet man let me look at a few SKS's, 4 or 5 if i remembered correctly, before I made up my mind - after staring at their display case for 15min minutes trying to pick the better ones. He didn't seem too agitated when I asked to handle them. I found the best one I could and I told him I wanted that one. A week later when the transfer is complete, I went back and pick up my SKS in a box and they put all the accessories and cleaning kit in a plastic bag for me. As far as price is concerned, I doubt you can find a better deal for a SKS and a crate of surplus rounds. Although my crate had all the stripper clips removed...

:)
Finally Serge, you might have a reason to reconsider your "nice" prices. ;)

I am thinking of raising prices. Costs go up from origin, plus shipping. Unless I buy crap SKS then yes it would go down by 15-20 %, but then would you like it. Also I do not sell Chinese SKS. Those always been cheap and always will be, like every other knock off from China. Oh yeah and the name is Sergey, not Serge if you can please :)

Not trying to be mean just that y makes a difference for me.

im not surprise you not happy bcos they have a mix bag, some one has to end up with the ones the locals didnt pick.

the cleaning kit comes with each russian SKS, they probably forgot to send you one so phone them.

removed ? that would be too time consuming , maybe they bot it that way, luckily there are plenty of stripper clips around , i just gave a bunch away .
