FS2000 flat top or optic model?

If the super big optic is not attached, is there a rail underneath? How does the optic attach? If so, seeing the price is the same, would you not get the optic anyway?

With the Standard version you can take off the optic hood and there is a polymer rail underneath. Here's a quick pic of an FS2000 with the shroud and optic removed.

Or.....
maybe people with experience with the rifle are trying to inform potential buyers with factual information about the setups, so that they may make a more informed decision site-unseen....:kickInTheNuts:

I'd also recommend going over to FN forum and poking around there.

Then if there is a rail anyway, then regular model because according to Buds the price is the same.

the original model has no backup iron sight - and there is almost no rail space for iron sight once the hood is taken off - payattention to the front and rear attachment point for the plastic hood. The attachment points for the plastic hood take up the spots for the front and rear iron sights. The "upper" is different.

This might be asking a lot, but can someone put an FS2000 and a Tavor side by side? I'd like to see size comparison.
