Thanks for the all the kind words and advice. Will be on a plane 6am tomorrow and then driving another 4.5hours from Denver. Hope to get in around 9pm local time. In case you didn't know where Raton, NM is, look on the map, find NOWHERE, hang a left and go another 1/2 hour past.
But it is a shooters paradise with more useable ranges then I have ever seen in my life.
Conditions look to be moderating so will be interesting to see how strong the scores are this event. Someone posted that there are 16 international teams signed up for the Worlds. I don't think there has ever been a field that big.
Should be quite a show and we will do our best to update with pics, stories and scores. There is another post in the LR precision forum so look there too.

say mystic go see Lou Murdica and ask to see his recoil absorbing method for us recoil sensitive shooters, (hint Kelblys does it for him) tell him Jeff sent you we are friends and I found out about this at montana state BR championship,
it will be worth your while as Blackart can do this for f-class up here,

Quick note as very limited wifi.
Team is doing ok. Hot and sunny so keeping gear cool has been a priority. Same goes for dirt. But all old news.
The winds have been diabolical... not heavy but 3 to 4 moa shifts between shoots can happen. That would be every 8 to 12 seconds... nasty.\
Get it right, yeah.... get it wrong... see where that moves you on a target. Learning to wait for the return of conditions has been painful but impatient can be met with huge grief (see below)
Cannot upload any pics so that will have to wait. Lots of foreign teams so it has been nice meeting shooters from all over.
The match is run like clockwork and the event is unbelieveable efficient. There are over 400 shooters yet lines aren't bad at all.
Real cool seeing 70 targets (approx.) bouncing up and down. Yes, they miss too.
tomorrow is the final day of the FCNC individual so we will see how far up the standings we can move. Learnt lots so now to put it to practise.
Some of the Canucks are near/at the top of the heap so check out the scores at the Bald Eagles Website and cheer them on.
Me, I had a great start on relay 1 day 1, trainwreck on relay 2, decent to end the day.
Yesterday, kept consistent had placed mid pack for all FTR shooters for the day. Not bad. This is one very unforgiving range.

I bet its a fantastic experience to be on a range like that with so many great shooters.

It is a bit tough to follow the results without a secret decoder ring matching CGN handles to real world names. Anyone want to help a guy out?

Good work to all our Canadian shooters ! well done.... SND, get crackin'. There are those that shoot and then there are those that just BS about shooting all over the net. Some fall somewhere in between. You learn as much in one day of shooting beside real shooters as you do in years of sorting through the internet BS. You will love it and never regret it. I defy anyone who has come out to try competitive shooting who would ever tell you to stay away. The hardest part is showing up.
I'll be arriving tomorrow and will make it a point to take some video of the matches. FWIW I can't recommend participating in a match highly enough; it's just different and will force you to shoot outside of your comfort zone. You may or may not love it, but I'm pretty confident that it will be a watershed experience for you.
Anyone know what were some of the top caliber choices for the top ranking F-Open?

Being by myself in Open locally I'm thinking of doing a F-TR for next year and for whatever reason the .223 is picking my interest more than the .308.
