1) New 10/22
2) Shoot 1200 rounds of cheap 555 Winchester with great succes..
3) Change the hammer and extractor for Volquartsen's parts, just to lighten the trigger pull and garentee a good extraction
4) Major cleaning and lubeing..
5) Go to the range and suffer major stovepiping problem now
Tests on stock Ruger rotationary mag 10 rounds
Mag 1 : 3 failure to feed , 1 failure to eject
Mag 2 : Flawless shooting
Mag 3 : 3 failure to eject
Mag 4 : Flawless
Mag 5 : 3 failure to eject
The same mag can produce many failure to eject.. as well as 10 rounds shooting in a row flawlessly
What are your guess at this point ? I dont want to change ammo brand since it was great before "upgrading" ..
I have a feeling that my bolt couuld have a hard time getting back far enough with volq tuffer spring.
