Full Auto Experience.......

My full auto experience is limited to a Vector and a Thompson in Houston. Personally I felt the Vector was a waste of money. Pull the trigger and blink and the clip was empty. Didn't get anything out of it. On the other hand the Thompson was probably the funnest thing I've shot. I just loved how you could control it during firing and the slower rate of firing made it last and it felt so much better.

I was part of the Canadian Forces shooting team at AFSAM in Arkansas when the NGMTU fronted a display of every small arm that has been in the American Army inventory from the .45-70 Trapdoor to the P90. After the demo of each firearm they opened the firing line to competitors to shoot the firearms of their choice. I was able to shoot; Browning M2, Boyes anti-tank rifle re-barrelled in .50 BMG, Ingram Mac 10, UZI, Thompson 45, .45-70 Trapdoor. Missed out on the P90 but did shoot the M16 (FA), the M249 and combat shotgun as part of the matchs. We had the option of using one of their P9 in lieu of our Browning P35 but I thought to pick up a new pistol after all that training was DUMB. Interesting note is that they keep a log of all the rounds through their P9 and at a certain point they are sent back for overhaul. They were surprised when they asked how many rounds through our Brownings and our answer was "who knows". They also would not allow our "hot" 9mm ammo to be shot in their guns. IVI was originally designed to run the old SMG so 124 gr at 1300+ fps or roughly +p pressure.
